Hi guys, hope you didn’t miss me too much yesterday. I was a bit quiet on the interweb because I was out and about visiting the Lovely Nicky at the Red Door Gallery, fabric browsing and buying at Edinburgh Fabrics and Mandors, chasing missing books in Libraries all over Edinburgh, then coffee and chats with Little Sister Lucy. After that, it was all I could do to stay alert through two episodes of Big Bang Theory.
This morning has been super successful finishing off some hair clips and making some earrings from my upcycled fabric collection before pausing for lunch and housework. This afternoon I will be making some more cardholders with New colours for spring, mint and yellow. Photos will come soon!
Just discovered Sam’s Blog and wanted to say big thank you to her. This post was chosen for the Folksy Front Page before Valentine’s Day and features my Turquoise & Grey Cardholder.
And this image what 96 pinwheels look like. Next to punch the cards. I have just realised that there are 7 different processes going into each card. Maybe I should be charging more !?
And this is what 96 little squares look like. The sun is coming round to shine on my little studio today. These tiny squares will be used to restock my Windmill cards in time for Mothers Day next month. I am also planning some posies of Spring Flowers for March’s 20/12 Collection piece which I am very excited about as I get to indulge in Pinterest later today researching colours and shapes.
Happy Valentine’s Day origami lovers. Wishing you a day of handmade goodness x
The new Etsy Stats have sucked me in for an hour or so of finding out where all my lovely customers are finding out about me. In the process discovering some lovely blogs and websites and only getting a little bit side tracked by Pinterest.
Here are a few that you may or may not already know about
I think I am happy with the blurb to go on the back of the cards. I know it looks a bit busy but each card holds the February piece so needs to have all the info on it for both the giver and receiver… as well as the all important edition number. Also trying to decide if I should have any text on the front or if I should let the piece stand proud. I am all indecision today it seems.
Hey there just a quick post to say that there is no longer any extra shipping charges when you buy more than one item in the bY Mi Etsy, Folksy or Dawanda stores. How good is that!
Look what I made, especially for you! But what are they… Have a guess!?
